About

Nancy Santos, of NAS Environmental Consulting, in the field. My name is Nancy Santos and I have lived in northern Nevada for over 20 years.  I began my career here after graduating from the University of California, Davis.  I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife Biology, specializing in ornithology (birds).  My first position was a wildlife biologist with the US Forest Service at Lake Tahoe.  It was my first real experience exploring the Sierra Nevada.  Lake Tahoe was a special place to work and play. After two years of driving back and forth from the bay area I moved to the Great Basin and never looked back.

Currently, I operate a woman-owned small business, NAS Environmental Consulting, providing my clients with environmental compliance and natural resource management services.  I am dedicated to ensuring project efficiency and client satisfaction.  I serve the Lake Tahoe/Reno area and the great state of Nevada.  Previously I worked as a private consultant for 13 years with an engineering and environmental consulting firm, in Reno Nevada.

I live in Carson City with my dog Beedle.  She hates it when I work in the office and she is not getting the constant attention she thinks she deserves.  But take her into the field and all is forgiven.  She has been my office and field dog for 8 years now.  We make a great team!

I am involved as a volunteer with three local non-profits, Lahontan Audubon Society, Friends of Silver Saddle Ranch, and ProNet Reno.

If you have any questions about how I can serve your business needs, provide a bird walk or classroom program, answer questions about Lahontan Audubon Society, Silver Saddle Ranch, ProNet Reno, or just want to say hi, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Have a great day!!
Nancy
